Elise Seidel

Elise has been living in San Marcos, TX for over 12 years.  Originally from San Antonio, Elise transferred to Texas State University in 2005, and graduated from TSU in 2008, with a bachelors degree in Communication Studies. Elise has worked in the restaurant business and  with corporations, but eventually was able to transfer into teaching yoga full time.  She also coaches volleyball, seasonally, for a non-profit volleyball club called Knockout.

Elise has been practicing yoga for 15 years, and has been teaching for just over five.  She  received her 200 hour RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) certification from Camp Utopia and Helen Stutchbury, in July 2012.  Since then, she has taught over 1,500 hours of yoga, at various studios, community centers, gyms, out of her home, and by the river.  She has also taught corporate/office yoga, private group sessions, as well as special events.  She has guided students in hot yoga, gentle yoga, power, Hatha, Vinyasa, and Restorative.  Elise has studied with a handful of wonderful teachers in the area with expertise in Kundalini and breathwork, Yin, Vinyasa, and Alignment based teachings.  She has also studied Pranayama with Gary Kraftsow, and Meditation and Awakening Shakti with Sally Kempton.  Currently, she is finishing her 300 hour RYT training, with Camp Utopia, and completing a Restorative Yoga certification, with Judith Hanson Lasater.

In Elise’s class you will notice an attention to detail, availability of options and variations, with intentions to focus and cultivate mindfullness, awareness, and connection.

“Yoga is so much to me, and as a teacher, I want to help you embrace what yoga is for you.  My hope is that you acknowledge how yoga helps you in your everyday life.”

Amy Berryhill

“Yoga takes you into the present moment, the only place where life exists.” -Patangali

After stepping off the mat for the first time in 2015, Amy's passion for yoga ignited, and her journey officially began. After practicing almost daily for a year, she began teaching and then took her practice to the next level by completing her 200-hour RYT at Camp Utopia in Wimberley this past summer. She is passionate about helping others experience the power of the present both on and off the mat. Amy’s classes are both relaxing and empowering and her combination of alignment-based asanas, pranayama and meditation cues help students leave the mat feeling calm and refreshed. She teaches a variety of Hatha and Vinyasa flow classes open to yogis of all levels and backgrounds!

When she’s not teaching or practicing yoga, she is probably enjoying the outdoors, reading, playing piano or hanging out with friends. Her other hobbies include exploring coffee shops for the perfect cup of jo and simply enjoying the tiny gifts life gives us everyday (like the perfect cup of jo).

 Ashley Shelton

Ashley grew up in the Texas Hill Country and has always felt a deep connection to nature.  At the age of 16, she found her first yoga class and felt the powerful connection of the body, breath and spirit.  She tells us, "Again and again I come back to my yoga practice and find a deep love for myself and all beings.”

Ashley became a certified children's yoga teacher at Yoga Yoga in Austin, TX. She completed her 200 hour Hatha certification under Jenn Wooten and Angie Knight.  She is currently completing a 200 hour Kundalini course with Siri Badahur, Guru Karam and Methab.

You can expect a class that is light- hearted, nourishing, trauma sensitive, and  focused on embodiment through asana, pranayama and mantra.   In her ability to connect emotionally and somatically she hopes to guide students to their inner teacher, healer, and light. When not on the yoga mat you will find her in outside playing, writing and making art.

Judy Felan

Judy Felan is a retired Reading Specialist and long-time classroom teacher, and began practicing yoga for stress relief after long days in the classroom. She soon realized the many benefits of a regular yoga practice, including increased energy, strength, balance, and stability.

A Yoga Alliance certified instructor, Judy recently completed her 200-Hour certification from Camp Utopia in Wimberley. Her Hatha-based flow practice truly is the yoga you need to live a healthier lifestyle. Judy will guide you through practices for all levels regardless of experience or ability. Her goal is to help students build strength and balance while finding peace and calmness of the mind. Judy and her husband live in San Marcos. In addition to yoga, she enjoys gardening and reading.

Rafael Mujica

Rafael began his yoga journey in 2015 after returning from his second combat deployment to Afghanistan. After witnessing first-hand how yoga can heal the body and mind, he delved head first into yoga teacher training at Camp Utopia. He discovered his body’s potential, mental tenacity, and authentic self at the end of his RYT200, and received his 300-Hour teacher certification in 2017.

As yoga is for everybody, so too are all of Rafael’s classes accessible to every body. Rafael teaches a strength based Hatha flow intended to make a stronger human being. You will become familiar with the inner workings of your very own body, find mental fortitude, and walk away feeling accomplished. When not teaching, you can find Rafael with his beautiful dog at the river, working out, or enjoying the finest tacos.
